New Online Class for Divorcing Parents: How to Protect Your Kids’ Mental Health
Kerry
Kerry here 👋
Palmer and I have something big to share with you!
But first, a little backstory:
My passion for protecting kids' mental health during divorce began in a refugee camp when I was 20, listening to young mothers who'd fled war. That experience changed everything, especially my career plans.

Two decades later, my own life unraveled. Divorce tested everything I thought I knew - and nearly cost me my middle son. What I longed for - a clear, step-by-step guide to protecting my kids during divorce - didn't exist. Fast forward: Palmer went from hating me to working with me. We spent the last two years building an online class for divorcing and divorced parents who want to minimize the impact of divorce on their kids' mental health. We interviewed children of divorce, parents who've been there, and professionals; we tested our material at conferences from Denver to Columbus to Japan… and we distilled the most essential lessons into one accessible, affordable class. This is the class I wish I could have had during my own divorce! We spent the summer in a studio, recording what we both think is essential for divorcing parents to know. We share the biggest hazards to avoid and the keys to raising resilient, thriving kids.

In the class, parents learn:Strategies to understand their kids' emotions during divorceResearch-backed tools for keeping kids talkingPerspectives from children of divorce: what they wish parents knewHow to reduce the risk of kids getting caught in the middleA guide for reimagining their new family This online class is available 24/7, affordable at $137 and designed for divorcing or divorced parents - whether the split is amicable or high-conflict.
Our hope is simple: that MORE children of divorce can experience stability, security, and hope for a bright future … and that FEWER will carry scars that last a lifetime. 👉 Who do you know who might need this? Will you please forward this email to them? Palmer and I are honored to finally share this class with you! It has our heart and soul in it, along with research, theory, and input from a lot of smart people. If you want to understand more about what your kids may be carrying emotionally, our post on kids' feelings during divorce is a good place to start.
With love and laughter,Kerry and Palmer P.S. We would be so grateful for your help getting word out about our new class. This is our life's work - to protect kids from the damage of divorce by teaching their parents how to safeguard their mental health.
